Support Technician

Job Description:

Perform any and all support related activities while maintaining company standards and exceeding client expectations. This includes but is not limited to supporting PC’s, applications, printers, networking services, servers, cell phones and security services.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support for all incoming Helpdesk requests via the ticketing system or via phone while establishing issue priorities and expediting resolutions
  • Troubleshoot connectivity issues related to client equipment
  • Provide support for Microsoft Office products, Windows environments, and various other software support
  • Assist with client machine setups and user profile configurations
  • Maintain Customer Support SLA’s (Service Level Agreements)
  • Test fixes to ensure problems have been adequately resolved
  • Assess client environment and make any necessary and appropriate changes
  • Assist with maintaining documentation while following company policies and Standard Operating Procedures
  • On-site PC, printer, networking gear, etc. setup for new offices
  • Must have reliable transportation to provide onsite support when needed

Technical Expectations:

  • Exceed customer expectations while being courteous and respectful
  • Must have great communication and documentation skills
  • Must have great organization skills and be detail oriented
  • Must be able to multitask and prioritize issues
  • Microsoft Windows 7 and Microsoft Office Suite experience required
  • Working knowledge of networking basics- TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, Wireless Access
  • Ability to identify and solve problems effectively
  • Ability to lift 50lbs is preferred
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2008, 2012, Windows 8, Windows 10, iPhone / Android, Exchange, Antivirus,
  • Cisco and Citrix experience is a plus
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience

  • High School diploma or GED
  • College degree in Information Technology/Computer Science or related field preferred
  • Microsoft, Citrix, or other Technical Certifications are a plus
